Shur-Co to acquire assets of Roll-Tite

April 3, 2014

Shur-Co, a Yankton, SD, provider of cargo securement products, has agreed to acquire the assets of Roll-Tite, a producer of retractable tarp systems for flatbed trailers, drop-deck trailers, straight trucks and specialty vehicles.

The company will rename itself ShurTite. Term were not disclosed.

Roll-Tite, founded in 1985, is currently based and will remain in Brantford, Ontario, the company said. It will be combined with Shur-Co’s existing flatbed division, which provides lumber, steel and custom tarps, as well as cargo control, for truck drivers across North America.

“Adding ShurTite further increases our product diversification in a direction we have been looking at for quite some time,” said Terry Tennant, president of Shur-Co. “A proven product line and team coupled with our enhanced distribution platform will allow us to serve our flatbed customers in a more complete way and positions us for additional growth in the industry.”
