ALK Technologies announced that its ALK’s Maps and PC*Miler web services are now available on J.J. Keller’s Encompass with E-Logs Premium Edition.

Encompass Premium Edition is an online dashboard that enables fleet operators to effectively manage compliance and performance.

ALK’s PC*Miler web services and ALK Maps offer the transportation and logistics industry a fully customizable cloud-based interactive mapping platform providing high-quality visualization of routing and mapping with precise geocoding, ALK said.

The Encompass Premium Edition collects data from the J. J. Keller Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and the KellerMobile app, which operates on a range of mobile devices (iPads, Android devices or Keller’s Compliance tablet), to provide fleet managers with extensive compliance and operational intelligence, including E-logs and the tracking of  fuel use, speed, braking, and GPS location.

The mapping feature powered by ALK Maps provides an instant overview of the fleet to improve routes, manage fuel, and track units. Fleet managers can pull up a map and see the location of all fleet vehicles in real-time. The vehicles are identified with truck icons on the map with hover-over and pop-up boxes providing easy access to detailed information about the vehicle, including but not limited to, unit number, driver name, speed, address location and date/time last update received.

PC*Miler web services is integrated to automatically generate trip reports showing the miles the vehicle has driven in a particular state, which assists in generating fuel tax reports.

“When we switched from another known provider for our mapping platform, ALK ensured a smooth and seamless transition,” said Tom Ditzler, senior product line manager, technology services, transport at J.J. Keller.  “We are committed to a long-term relationship with ALK and have plans to leverage additional products and modules providing enhanced functionality to add more value for our mutual customers.”

“ALK’s ability to offer a complete suite of transportation solutions that utilize a single data source across various routing, rating, mapping and visualization applications was a driving force in this integration,” said Dan Popkin, senior vice president of Enterprise Solutions at ALK Technologies. “We look forward to continued collaborations with J.J. Keller supplying a unique offering to their customers seeking to reduce costs and improve fleet operations and safety.”
