Jan. 21, 2015

PeopleNet has revamped its business lines into four new channels. They are Trucking, Energy Services, Video Intelligence and Channels/OEMs. General manager Mark Kessler will lead the Trucking division, the largest of the four.

The Trucking division will focus its efforts on innovating new products and services to help fleets deliver more KPI’s and analytics in order to give fleets a competitive advantage in the marketplace, PeopleNet, a division of Trimble, said.

“At PeopleNet, our efforts to create transformative technology solutions that cultivate more efficient fleets and ultimately lead to safer roads for drivers will continue to grow. We see great opportunities in the current marketplace, with adoption of mobile technology at record pace,” said Kessler. “I’m looking forward to closely collaborating with the leaders of PeopleNet’s Energy Services, OEM, and Video divisions, as well as other Trimble leaders dedicated to transportation and logistics. We’ve worked together in the trucking industry for nearly 15 years, and we recognize that each division is critical to achieving overall success and ultimately transforming the transportation industry.”

Kessler is a transportation and logistics professional with 20 years of experience in sales, mergers and acquisition, strategic development, operations, customer service, product development, media and marketing. He joined PeopleNet in 2000 in charge of sales and business development.

“In the nearly 15 years that Mark has been with PeopleNet, he has made significant contributions to our organization. He’s a great leader who will be an excellent general manager of the Trucking division. We’re excited about the organizational changes we’ve made at PeopleNet. They will help our team members to be tightly aligned within key areas for our clients so they can further provide top-quality products and services specific to industry needs,” said Brian McLaughlin, president of PeopleNet. “The team at PeopleNet we have in place is second-to-none in the industry. I know that their skills and talents will help us continue to be a leader in fleet mobility technology in North America.”
