Comdata puts purchasing power in drivers’ hands with FleetAdvance Mobile

March 20, 2015

Electronic payment solutions provider Comdata is making it easier for drivers to informed purchasing decisions while on the road with the new FleetAdvance Mobile app.

The app connects to a driver’s Comdata card. It allows a driver to search by current location or city and state to find the lowest fuel prices in the area. With a registered Comdata card, the app will display the best net price available to the driver.

It even allows for the management of card balances, with the option to transfer all or a portion of the funds to a driver’s designated bank account. This initial release also includes the ability to rate locations and view ratings from others.

“FleetAdvance Mobile was designed to help a fleet get the most out of every mile. Drivers can plan their trip ahead of time, as well as use the app to adjust if a need arises on the road,” said Randy Morgan, president-North American Trucking at Comdata. “We are thrilled to launch this new mobile application to help drivers locate the lowest fuel prices along their routes while also providing the convenience of managing cash balances from the road without the need for a phone call. We are always looking for innovative ways to help our clients, and equipping the drivers with simple but sophisticated tools is key to this.”

FleetAdvance Mobile is for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play. The app is free. It is a complementary service to Comdata’s FleetAdvance product that was launched in 2013 providing real-time transaction scoring, immediate notifications, management console and comprehensive analytics.

Additional features will be added to both platforms throughout the year to further enhance and integrate the tools, the company said.
