• Transportation consultant joins J.J. Keller team

    Industry veteran Bruce Walters recently joined the J. J. Keller & Associates. transportation and consulting team to help the firm further assist companies in improving regulatory compliance and driver safety.

    “Bruce’s expertise spans an impressive range of areas, from DOT compliance to driver training, fleet safety, alcohol and drug testing, driver qualification, security plans, and beyond,” said Steve Murray, senior director of consulting services. “Bruce’s extensive knowledge will help our clients navigate complex regulations so they can establish and maintain more effective compliance programs.”

    Walters, who brings more than 28 years of transportation compliance and safety leadership experience to J.J. Keller, most recently served as the transportation and security specialist program manager at Consolidated Safety Services. There, he was responsible for certifying training courses for schools to meet the Professional Truck Driver Institute’s course requirements and for managing a team of safety investigators who conducted compliance reviews for the Defense Travel Management Office of the Dept. of Defense.

    In addition, Walters was vice president of safety at Covenant Transport and vice president of safety and driver personnel at Gainey Transportation Services. He is a certified FMCSA National Training Center Safety Auditor.
