ShipX freight booking site rebranded FreightorGator

Along with new name and logo, company offering new rates and temporarily waiving booking fee

Kansas City, MO-based online freight exchange ShipX has rebranded itself to become FreightorGator. The change comes along with newly negotiated direct rates from industry carriers and a limited-time waiver of FreightorGator's $25 booking fee, the company says.

In addition to the new name, FreightorGator unveiled a new logo and redesigned website, www.freightorgator.com, all of which together are meant "to better reflect the company's character and mission to save less-than-truckload shippers time and money through modern technology."

"We're thrilled to announce our new name and brand to the transportation industry," said Augie Grasis, CEO and founder of FreightorGator. "ShipX was an old name representing a new idea. It's time for our name to match the mold-breaking, time- and cost-saving online service we provide to help small businesses simplify their LTL shipping."

FreightorGator describes its rate comparison, booking and shipment-tracking services as "the new frontier in LTL shipping" that cuts out middle men and unnecessary costs and complication in freight booking, particularly for smaller companies that typically pay higher rates.

Under its new name, FreightorGator says it will retain the same core service offering to provide LTL shippers a modern and streamlined approach to booking freight but will give customers "the very best volume prices to choose from" thanks to newly negotiated rates from LTL carries like YRC, Old Dominion and XPO Logistics.

"Small businesses are often unable to negotiate fair, reasonable rates because they don't ship frequently at a high volume," said Grasis. "Now, LTL shippers are able to get the very best volume prices exclusively from FreightorGator while enjoying a simple, online user experience."

Once a customer enters shipment size, weight, origin and destination, FreightorGator aggregates shipping results from more than 25 LTL carriers for the customer to compare and book the shipment. The system automatically dispatches carriers for pickups, according to the company, and customers can track shipments all the way to their destination.
