project44 and McLeod Software announced they are actively working to complete an integration solution that gives McLeod PowerBroker users access to project44’s Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) API capabilities.
“project44 has captured APIs to 99.9% of the $37B LTL sector,” the company said. “When this new integration solution is released later this calendar year, PowerBroker users will be able to access LTL carrier quotes, including base rates and accessorial charges, directly from those LTL carriers supplying information via the project44 network. This will include special customer specific pricing that a customer might receive. The integration will also support transit time calculations from the carriers, including weekend and holiday days.”
Additionally, PowerBroker LTL users will be able to leverage project44’s APIs to tender quotes to and retrieve shipment status updates from the connected LTL carriers directly within the PowerBroker interface, the company added.
“We are very excited about the new capabilities that our upcoming integration solution with project44 is going to offer our brokerage customers who manage LTL freight for their customers,” said McLeod Software founder and CEO Tom McLeod. “The project44 vision has the potential to add tremendous value for this segment of our industry by leveraging the power of web service-based API’s to let LTL carriers and brokers interact with less friction and no delays.”
“The best part about working with an established, ground-breaking TMS provider like McLeod Software is that the collaboration possibilities are endless,” said Tommy Barnes, president of project44. “This is just the first step in a long-term partnership that will allow the LTL and Full Truckload markets to further streamline their operations and achieve greater control over operating costs through a single, easy-to-use interface.”
