ORLANDO, Florida—McLeod Software is now offering its LoadMaster solution for private fleets to help fleet managers make better decisions about their transportation operations and drivers.

McLeod showed off LoadMaster Private Fleet during NPTC 2024, the National Private Truck Council’s annual conference. The solution is built on the company’s proven LoadMaster Enterprise operations software, already used by dozens of private fleets.

Like for-hire carriers, private fleets need to be connected to their drivers’ ELDs, dispatchers, billing, and backhaul opportunities, Robert Brothers, McLeod VP of product development, told FleetOwner.

LoadMaster Private Fleet offers flexible configuration to accommodate various business processes while taking advantage of a broad set of functional capabilities, including dispatch, planning, safety, and integration with a wide range of ELD products on the market.

Brothers said this allows fleets to be more efficient and control costs. LoadMaster Private Fleet offers built-in business intelligence tools and market rate intelligence to help users make the best decisions.

“Our system works best when the private fleets are working, in some ways, like a truckload carrier,” Brothers explained. “Their main head haul customer is their plant that they’re trying to either ship from or do inbound logistics. With LoadMaster, they can see if they can cover shipments or if they need to broker it out and use [McLeod] PowerBroker to find an outside carrier, for example.”

The private fleet offering also helps customers set their drivers up for success on every trip by giving them a mobile application for communicating about important issues when they are away from the cab, Brothers noted.

LoadMaster Private Fleet sets the industry benchmark for depth of capabilities, off-the-shelf integration solutions, and flexibility.
