Decisiv service platform moves to the cloud

Oct. 1, 2012

Contract maintenance service providers now have access to the cloud-based Decisiv Service Management Platform that offers a cost-efficient path to expanding fleet service business, Decisiv said.

“With the Decisiv platform, contract maintenance service providers can compete more effectively by offering their customers unique and customized cloud-based communication and reporting solutions,” said Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv. “Using the platform’s unparalleled and industry proven information sharing features, including several new enhancements, creates a powerful service offering for contract maintenance services providers.”

The new cloud-based functionality has enabled Decisiv to offer a number of new capabilities to service providers, the company said, including mobile check-in and inspection tools and an entirely new set of features for managing scheduled maintenance on behalf of customers.

Mobile check-in and inspection applications on the Decisiv platform enable service providers to use a variety of mobile devices to scan a branded QR code on the truck, retrieve the asset’s profile, and complete check-in and inspection procedures. Service operations related to inspection outcomes can also be selected to automatically populate an estimate for approval.

New service management capabilities of the Decisiv platform, based on pre-established maintenance and inspection operations for customer or lease fleet vehicles can include labor, parts, notes, documents and VMRS coding. Service schedules are triggered automatically by mileage, engine hours, days or any combination. Daily due and overdue maintenance notifications are organized by asset and maintenance operation, and reports are updated in real-time as work is performed in the service provider shops.
