FourKites load tracking now available with OTM

FourKites, a member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), has announced its real-time load tracking platform is now available with Oracle Transportation Management Cloud (OTM) and Oracle Transportation Management version 6.3.0 or higher.

FourKites mentioned it is integrated with more than 45 ELD/trailer tracking providers powering the trucking industry. In addition to ELD integrations, FourKites said it has developed proprietary smartphone apps and‘App-Less’ tracking technology using cell tower triangulation for trucks that have not yet installed an ELD.

“FourKites tracks truck locations every 15 minutes, recalculates ETA using real-time location, traffic and weather data, and automates arrivals and departures using robust geo-fencing technologies,” the company said. “The solution allows OTM customers to send shipment data to FourKites and access tracking and exception management data generated by FourKites within OTM. Additionally, FourKites software can save customers both time and money by virtually eliminating the need for expensive carrier EDI setups or phone calls and emails to dispatchers.”

“The real-time visibility and data exchange powered by this collaboration can take our mutual customers’ productivity gains to another level,” said Mathew Elenjickal, CEO of FourKites. “The combined solution can deliver operational efficiencies not just in logistics, but also in downstream functions such as sales, customer service, and warehouse and dock operations.”

“The FourKites integration to OTM allows Ruan to proactively manage shipments on company and/or carrier partner assets,” said Marty Wadle, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Solutions for Ruan, an Oracle Transportation Management customer. “Our customers and their customers have access to real-time visibility of their freight, which lets us closely monitor on time performance. If a delay is identified, we work with carriers and customers in areas ranging from re-sequencing dock schedules to expediting, which helps us minimize supply chain impacts.”
