Aerodynamic device testing

At Michelin's Lauren Proving Grounds outside Greenville, S.C., aerodynamic device maker SmartTruck Systems demonstrated the "coast down" testing protocol used as the starting point for fuel economy calculations in the automotive world; a style of testing that may become more prominent as the heavy truck industry begins complying with new greenhouse gas emission/fuel economy standards promulgated jointly by the EPA and NHTSA.
