U.S. Xpress Logistics implements Transflo $Velocity scanning

Oct. 9, 2013

U.S. Xpress Logistics has implemented the Transflo $Velocity scanning solution from Pegasus TransTech. As the brokerage division of U.S. Xpress Inc., the asset-backed U.S. Xpress Logistics offers a single point of contact for shippers.

With Transflo $Velocity, carriers and owner-operators simply scan their delivery documents using either the Transflo $Velocity software or Transflo Mobile smartphone application, using a unique broker ID. In seconds, the documents are sent electronically to U.S. Xpress Logistics for immediate billing and settlement processing.

“We are always focused on ways to improve our business and our relationships with our carriers as well as the strategic market position of each of our customers,” said Ryan Rogers, chief operating officer, U.S. Xpress Logistics. “Through our partnership with Transflo and the adoption of the $Velocity product, we are reducing the time it takes for our carriers to submit delivery and accessorial documents. This is a large benefit to our carrier network, allowing them to save time and money when submitting their documents electronically, while also allowing them to get paid faster.”

“U.S. Xpress has been a customer of Transflo for years,” said Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We’re excited about the opportunity to serve the document delivery needs for U.S. Xpress Logistics, and we believe their choice to adopt Transflo $Velocity scanning is just the latest example of how U.S. Xpress uses technology to improve service to their carriers and customers.”
