Velociti completes technology deployment for Hirschbach

Velociti announced the completion of a technology rollout for Hirschbach Motor Lines. The project consisted of installing EpicVue, which provides in-cab satellite TV package for the trucking industry, and the FlowBelow Tractor Aero Kit, which consists of aerodynamic wheel covers and tractor tandem fairings that work together as a complete aerodynamic system to reduce drag and save fuel on the tractor. 

The installations were part of a two-prong initiative by Hirschbach Motor Lines to advance its Green Fleet Strategy and expand its fleet through driver retention and increased fuel efficiency and savings, according to the company.

“Retaining experienced drivers and attracting new, qualified drivers, is extremely important for maintaining the high quality of Service Hirschbach strives to provide its customers,” said Brian Weiss, director of driver services. “Our drivers spend most of their time out on the road or at truck stops and rest areas during required downtime. Our hope is to improve the quality of that time by providing them with the EpicVue in-cab satellite TV system.”

Also, as a continuation of its Green Fleet Strategy, the company said it decided to have the FlowBelow Tractor Aero Kit installed to help reduce fuel consumption.

“Hirschbach realized that having both systems installed quickly and accurately was crucial for maximizing the ROI of their investment,” said Deryk Powell, president of Velociti. “Their drivers were excited about having EpicVue available to them and everday the FlowBelow Aero Kit was not installed, they were losing money by not reaping the benefits. Our dedicated team was able to install both solutions, simultaneously, allowing them to realize their goals much more quickly.”
