The Mentor Ranger rugged in-vehicle mobile computer has been certified for the Rogers data network, Mentor Engineering said.
The certification means the Ranger can take advantage of integrated 3G technology on the newest generation of HSPA wireless communications provided by Rogers, the largest wireless communications carrier in Canada.
“Mentor’s new and existing clients will benefit from greater network coverage and access to 3G data speeds with this most recent Ranger certification,” said Mike Koebel, vp-sales and business development at Mentor.
Ranger provides real-time communication between drivers and dispatchers while supporting work-order management functions such as on-the-fly changes, vehicle telemetry, and automatic vehicle location information. Integrated navigation software offers turn-by-turn directions.
