Fortress Environmental Services opened a new three-lane truck wash rack on Interstate 10 between Houston and San Antonio. Truckers will need to exit at mile marker 649 and then drive 1/4 mile south on Hwy 97. Some benefits for truckers are there are no stoplights, no street traffic and no waiting lines and plenty of free overnight parking for paying customers, Fortress said. The company said the Fortress Truck Wash was built by truckers for truckers and provides a long list of “free amenities to make their stay as comfortable as possible.”“The staff cooks free hot meals, provides ice-cold drinks, free high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, a comfortable trucker's break room with charging stations for laptops and cellphones, and free individual men's and women's hot showers and bathrooms,” Fortress said “For truckers that want to cook their own food there is an outdoor shade tent and BBQ grill.”Fortress also notes that there are the cost-saving truck washes for local Eagle Ford Shale trucking companies that will save them thousands of dollars per month per truck by not having to spend money on fuel, man hours and driving time to drive to the nearest truck washes in San Antonio or Houston. Fortress also provides a 25% fleet truck wash discount to out-of-state national truck fleets that sign up for a National Fleet Frequent Truck Wash account.
