    The precipitous drop in the price of crude oil has made an impact on diesel prices across the U.S. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), average diesel prices fell twelve cents to $4.60 per gallon for the week of July 28.

    According to Reuters, crude oil traded as low as $121.10 a barrel on Tuesday, the lowest point it had reached since May 15 and a large drop-off from the all-time high of $147.27 reached on July 11.

    The most expensive diesel fuel continues to be in New England, where it averages $4.81 per gallon. The lease expensive region is the Midwest, where the average price is $4.52 per gallon.
