Eco-Edge has added the GreenRoad Service to the eco-efficient solutions it recommends to fleets looking to improve profitability by utilizing environmentally sustainable methods. The GreenRoad service integrates real-time, in-vehicle feedback, coaching, reporting and risk analysis tools to help truck drivers to improve their performance while on the road, the company says.
Eco-Edge says it acts as a fleet advocate, identifying eco-efficient technologies as best in class based upon their evaluation of a technology’s ability to save money and reduce environmental impact. According to Eco-Edge, GreenRoad is the first solution the company has selected that combines both safety and fuel economy.
“Given that poor driving habits can affect both fuel economy and emissions by more than 30 percent, GreenRoad is a ‘triple bottom line solution,’ benefitting fleet employees, profitability and the environment,” said Debra Johnson, president of Eco-Edge.
