CNGas has worked with natural gas fueling infrastructure provider Nopetro to open a public compressed natural gas fueling station in Miami-Dade County in Florida.
CNGas specializes in retail CNG fueling stations and bi-fuel vehicle conversions.
The station, located in northern Miami-Dade County at 19499 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL, is a 30,000 sq. ft. fast-fill facility. It is capable of filling four vehicles at a time, the company said. Nopetro will support CNGas by contributing its CNG fuel marketing and operational expertise, and strategies to help grow third party sales at the stations. CNGas will provide bi-fuel and hybrid CNG vehicle conversions of existing commercial fleets for both companies.
“We are extremely proud to bring this first-of-its-kind facility to Miami-Dade,” said CNGas COO Humberto Puppo. “I have no doubt that this station will be a key step towards furthering the volume of CNG vehicles in our county.”
“While both of our companies are industry innovators,” added Jorge Herrera, CEO of Nopetro, “the clientele each company is pursuing compliments each other since Nopetro is looking at large commercial fleets, such as public buses, garbage trucks and school buses, while CNGas’s market is small to medium-sized commercial vehicles. We look forward to working collectively with CNGas to service all CNG vehicles, and ultimately develop a world- class network of fueling facilities for the county."
