As business-to business customers’ expectations align closer to that of consumers, Meritor Inc. has steadily increased the capabilities aftermarket parts ordering tool, MeritorPartsXpress.com. The additions benefit registered and non-registered users alike, allowing them to quickly find a wide range of components for brakes, suspensions, axles based on certain specification such as brake friction for a brake shoe, and more upfront and track shipments and order history after. The site can be accessed via computer or mobile device.

Improvements include:

  • Optional shipment status notifications
  • Cross-referencing functionality to research competitive part numbers and product alternatives across brands, fit, form and functions
  • Search-by-image tool for end yokes
  • Visual search
  • More product images
  • “My Orders” portal for registered users to track orders, invoices and returns

“With these improvements, the 24-hour, self-service portal is not only for ordering parts – it’s also a comprehensive business resource for finding product information on more than 100,000 aftermarket parts,” said Christy Westrich, director of Customer Loyalty for Meritor.

Earlier in the year, the Michigan-based truck parts manufacturer launched the Uptime Services Group to help customers expedite orders in emergency situations and find out-of-stock and rare parts.
