Merritt enters light-duty market

March 17, 2020
Heavy-duty tractor-trailer accessories manufacturer reveals new line of aluminum equipment for service trucks.

Merritt Aluminum Products recently introduced a new line of accessories aimed at the light-duty truck market, including multiple versions of its crossbody toolboxes, headache racks and ladder racks.

The family-owned Fort Lutpon Co-based manufacturer said all three products are available in three finishes.

Taylor Merritt, chairman and CEO, said the company decided to enter the light-duty market this year after nearly 70 years of producing aluminum accessories for tractor-trailer rigs. He also said the company, which recently was named the Best Company to Work For in Colorado by ICC and ColoradoBiz magazine, took a creative approach to its new line, with design features “never seen in the light-duty market.”

The all-new crossbody toolbox incorporates three access doors—one on each side and a large, full-length door—to make accessing equipment easier. And their line of headache and ladder racks are designed to deliver the build quality demanded by the HD market in an affordable, reliable light-duty form for commercial service trucks.

The company says all its products are built with commercial-grade materials and the highest-quality hardware, designed to provide years of trouble-free operation, and a secure location for expensive tools and service equipment.

“All of our new products are designed to work together as a system, but can also be used separately,” Taylor Merritt said. “And our products are easy to install on any full-size pickup truck.”

Merritt also offers support services, including easy order processing, dealer training and sales support, and fast, reliable delivery of its products through regional warehouse distribution centers across the nation.
