JIT Truck Parts, a national aftermarket truck parts distributor directly servicing national, regional, and local fleets, announced the addition of Peterson Manufacturing’s U.S.-made commercial vehicle and trailer LED lighting and wiring harness systems into a growing category of lighting products.
Peterson Manufacturing designs, engineers, and manufactures a line of commercial vehicle and trailer wiring harnesses and lighting systems.
From OEMs to fleets and owner-operators, Peterson provides exterior, interior, and work light LED lighting technology, "providing a brighter, safer work environment," the company stated in a release. The light-emitting diodes (LED) are vibration resistant with a low current-draw, boasting a longer life than the traditional halogen and incandescent lights. These LEDs offer drivers better visibility with less glare, which improves object recognition at night for drivers and reduces eye strain, the company noted.

Peterson offers a wide range of OE and aftermarket safety lighting products, including a broad line of exterior work lights and interior and cargo lights. Peterson offers stop/turn/tail lights, turn signals, clearance/marker lights, and backup lights. In addition, synchronized strobes and special safety lighting is available for specialized markets like refuse and tanker.
While their lighting portfolio offers a breadth of coverage, what separates them from competitors is Peterson’s unique trailer harness systems, JIT Truck Parts stated. Peterson’s modular wiring harnesses, PetersonPATRIOT and Defender, protect against moisture intrusion and corrosion, reducing safety violations, downtime, and maintenance costs, the company stated.
“We are delighted to introduce Peterson into our product inventory and provide our customers with the latest in technology and performance,” said JIT Truck Parts President Michael Walker. “We hope that buyers will see the benefits of installing LED lights in their vehicles for safety and quality assurance.”
