Performance Friction Corp. has announced a new line of retrofit discs for medium-duty trucks equipped with 66-mm and 73-mm slider hydraulic brake calipers.

Performance Friction Corp. has announced a new line of retrofit discs for medium-duty trucks equipped with 66-mm and 73-mm slider hydraulic brake calipers. According to the company, the new line represents the manufacturer’s patent-pending solution to the common problem of ABS signal loss with OE discs.

Performance Friction said the new discs will give medium truck operators significantly longer service life with faultless ABS operation. They feature a precision-machined alloy ABS ring that is isolated from the heat of the disc for improved signal strength and electroless nickel plating designed to prevent corrosion.

“We’re dedicated to manufacturing the absolute best brakes on the market with the lowest cost per mile in the industry,” said company president Don Burgoon. “With the ABS signal solution customers will experience tremendous reductions in maintenance costs.”

“When matched with our Carbon Metallic brake pads, fleets will be able to further reduce downtime and lower their cost per mile,” added Denny Gaylor, director of national fleet sales.
