Amsoil's CJ-4 synthetic oil for diesel engines is now on the market.

The 5W-40 premium oil better withstands the stress of heat, soot and acids to help prevent deposits, corrosion and wear, and its broad viscosity range offers superior protection over a wide temperature range, according to Amsoil. However, the company cautions that drain intervals should only be extended when monitored by oil analysis.

Backwards-compatible with older engines, the new synthetic CJ-4 replaces Amsoil's 5W-40, 10W-40 and 15W-40 oil blends.
