Dana drops reman carriers

Dana Corp.'s Heavy Vehicle Technologies and Systems Service division, has eliminated remanufactured carriers from its product line; effective immediately it will offer only new Spicer carriers. Dana Corp.'s Heavy Vehicle Technologies and Systems Service division, has eliminated remanufactured carriers from its product line; effective immediately it will offer only new Spicer carriers.

Under the company's Core-Free Carrier Program, Spicer heavy axle customers will no longer have to pay a core charge when they buy carrier assemblies, and they won't have to return the cores for credit.

According to Dana, any reman'd carriers sold after July 1 will have the same warranty as the new Spicer product: two years, unlimited mileage.
