A new manual wheel-lok from Rite-Hite offers communication to dock personnel and stability for a wide range of trailer types, the company said.

The manual wheel-lok secures trailers such as those with lift gates, or damaged or missing rear impact guards. The device uses Corner-Vu and Leveler-Vu, part of the Rite-Vu Light Communication System, to enhance visual communication of the wheel-lok control box.

Corner-Vu provides clear communication of the restraint’s status for forklift drivers as they enter the trailer. Leveler-Vu continues to confirm that status once the forklift is inside and moving around the trailer.

The manual wheel-lok also offers interior and exterior LED lights and audible alarms as standard. It uses a 19-in. high barrier that resists in excess of 32,000 lbs. of pullout force. In addition, wheel guides provide on-center trailer positioning and ensure dock seal effectiveness.
