Lite-Check offers tablet-based trailer inspection system
NASHVILLE. Lite-Check is introducing at the Technology and Maintenance Council annual meeting a new generation of its trailer inspection system that features a tablet that technicians will use to enter data and images throughout the inspection, the company said March 9. The Verifier 1010 gives the shop manager the ability to define a custom inspection process, which inspectors will follow using apps on the tablet.
The system then offers a variety of customized reports.
The Verifier 1010, which integrates Lite-Check’s lighting and brake inspection technology with the latest computer and connectivity technologies – tablets, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. – addresses some of the limitations of previous products because it allows technicians to record items as he observes them anywhere around or under a trailer and to transfer that information electronically and immediately, says Chad Hughes, chief technology officer.
