Guard trucks deploy to fight flooding

With a roar of diesel engines and the heavy thrum of truck tires, units of the North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) moved into South Carolina this week to aid their next-door neighbors in the Palmetto state in flood recovery efforts: repairing washed out roads, fixing dams, and lending a hand wherever heavy construction brains and brawn might be needed.
