Luber-finer reported the recent addition of oil analysis kits to its Laboratory Fluid Analysis Programs to provide fleet professionals with independent laboratory solutions for analyzing fluids. The Oil Analysis Program includes oil analysis kits that allow fleets to easily take samples and send them to an off-site laboratory for testing.

Fleets can purchase oil analysis kits and accessories from an authorized Luber-finer distributor. The Oil Analysis Program works by establishing an equipment database, adding equipment as required and taking samples. To properly obtain a sample, Luber-finer explained, maintenance personnel should bring the equipment to operating temperature and then obtain a sample from the oil reservoir. Luber-finer’s state-of-the-art laboratory then performs analysis based on the component type.

Upon completion of testing, results are available to fleet managers both as written reports that can be reviewed to determine the health of components and as on-line reports that are available at www.luberfiner.com in a 24- to 48-hour turn-around time. Luber-finer noted it will also perform monthly and yearly program reviews to validate the effectiveness of the oil analysis program.
