In 1999, the then new company partnered with Meritor to create The Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI, which the company says adds life to tires, and increases fuel efficiency and safety. In addition, PSI has included ThermALERT to its product line. ThermALERT is an MTIS heat sensor that warns drivers when a tire overheats, which could save the truck from a tire fire or from losing a tire. The company held its annual Fleet Technology Event on May 12 and 13 and took attendees on a tour of its production plant in San Antonio, TX. The company, which has a total of 85 employees, manufactures about 550 ATIS kits per production day.
