Saluting the U.S. military at Mid America 2016

Several show trucks customized to salute the history and sacrifice of U.S. military men and women made an appearance at the 2016 Mid America Trucking Show. The two tractors seen here took different visual approaches to their respective "salutes," with one centered around Purple Heart imagery -- the medal awarded to those service men and women wounded in combat, or given posthumously to those killed in combat -- while the other traced the long history of America at war, from the Revolution up through Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
