As part of the marketing efforts on behalf of its Rotella engine oil brand, Shell Lubricants ordered a custom barbeque pit for industry and customer events. The 4,000 lb. trailer-mounted pit, which can cook enough barbeque to feed 100 or more people at an event, was built by Houston-based champion barbeque grillers Pitt’s and Spitt’s. Shell Lubricants also sponsors the Pitt's & Spitt's World Champion Cooking Team, which has won over 30 BBQ cooking awards.
