Mercedes Benz dug up a rare treat from its long history in the van market for the rollout of its new-for-2014 Sprinter van in Dusseldorf, Germany, in May of 2013: Two 1962 versions of its L319 van-- one of the very first purpose-built commercial van platforms in the world, designed to carry cargo as well as passengers.
