Altec aerial models’ inoperative emergency stop switch
Altec Industries is recalling certain 2025-2026 AM Series Aerial Device vehicles. The emergency stop switch located at the turntable is inoperative when the upper controls interlock is active and allows the upper and lower controls to remain powered when the emergency stop is depressed. An inoperative emergency stop switch increases the risk of injury.
This recall potentially affects 40 vehicles. Altec will notify owners to inspect for the presence of an adapter harness. If installed, the owner will be instructed to notify Altec, and no further action is needed. If the harness is not installed, Altec will provide a kit to complete the repair. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 12. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3307.
Altec models’ improperly installed front-end radar
Altec Industries is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front-end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the adaptive cruise control (ACC) and active brake assist (ABA). While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 36 vehicles. Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front-end radar installation and, if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 12. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3309.
Ford models’ block heater may overheat and cause fire
Ford is recalling certain 2025 Maverick and 2026 Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L or 2.0L MPC engine and an engine block heater. The engine block heater may overheat when the vehicle is parked with the block heater plugged in. An overheated engine block heater can increase the risk of a fire.
This recall potentially affects 55 vehicles. Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater and inspect and replace the electrical cord if necessary. Owners will also have an alternative option to replace the engine block heater element with a threaded plug and remove the block heater electrical cord. Interim letters are expected to be mailed April 27. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in June 2026. This recall expands on previous NHTSA recall number 25V343. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S52.
Ford Ranger models’ sun visor wiring may cause fire
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Ranger vehicles. The sun visor or headliner wiring harnesses may be improperly positioned or have excessive tape thickness, which can result in damaged wires. Damaged wires can create an electrical short and cause a fire in the A-pillar area, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
This recall potentially affects 140,201 vehicles. Dealers will inspect the wiring for damage and update the body control module software. Damaged wiring harnesses will be replaced as necessary. This will be a phased campaign. Phase 1 will include 2025 model year vehicles. Owners will be notified by mail the week of May 31. Phase 2 will include 2026 model year vehicles, and Phase 3 will include 2024 model year vehicles. Owners will be notified by mail the week of June 29 for Phase 2 and the week of July 27 for Phase 3. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were expected to be mailed April 27. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in August 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S29.
Nissan Frontier models’ loss of steering control from loose or missing fasteners
Roush Performance Products is recalling certain 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro4X R vehicles. The cotter pins for the upper control arm ball joint and steering tie rod ends may not have been installed, and fasteners may not be properly tightened. Loose or missing fasteners can cause a loss of vehicle steering and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
This recall potentially affects 1,217 vehicles. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the remedy is completed. Dealers will replace the cotter pins, and replace or tighten fasteners as necessary. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 15. Owners may contact Roush customer service at 800-597-6874. Roush's number for this recall is C-26001.
