Yokohama debuted two new truck tires, the 103ZRT and 501ZAT. Both are from the company's Z.environment line, which it claims last longer and are more fuel-efficient than conventional tires.
“The 103ZR offers a compound, tread design and casing construction that delivers longer tread wear and low rolling resistance,” according to John Cooney, director of commercial sales. “The casings innovations predict changes in tire shape that occur in early stages of wear. The result is increased durability due to stabilized performance over the wear of the tire.”
The 103ZRT also features rock-ejector platforms and a wider tread to promote even wear, while the 501ZAT contains a special compound that provides longer mileage and greater chip resistance.
