AUSTIN, TexasVolvo will continue as the exclusive sponsor of the America’s Road Team outreach program in 2024, Peter Voorhoeve, president of Volvo Trucks North America, announced at the American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition in Austin.

Every two years, a small group of professional drivers is nominated to lead America’s Road Team as captains. Created by ATA in 1986 and sponsored exclusively by Volvo Trucks since 2002, America’s Road Team educates students, community groups, lawmakers, and government officials on the importance of road safety, as well as the essentiality and sustainable practices of the trucking industry.

In support of the 2024 America’s Road Team campaign, Volvo Trucks will provide a fully loaded Volvo VNL 760.  Early next year, the company will host America’s Road Team captains at the Volvo Trucks Customer Center in Dublin, Virginia. The event will be highlighted by the truck handover ceremony.
