FMCSA panels to focus on driver wellness

The Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) and Medical Review Board (MRB) will meet Sept. 21-22 to discuss the health and wellness of truck drivers and the establishment of a non-regulatory public-private partnership of stakeholders to improve drivers' health.

The Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) and Medical Review Board (MRB) will meet Sept. 21-22 to discuss the health and wellness of truck drivers and the establishment of a non-regulatory public-private partnership of stakeholders to improve drivers' health.

According to a Sept. 4 notice by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the MCSAC and MRB will focus on the “structure, content, delivery, and evaluation” of this initiative. The meeting is open to the public.

The joint meetings will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. Copies of the MRB and MCSAC joint task statement and an agenda for the entire meeting will be made available in advance of the meeting on the MCSAC website.
