Impco Technologies has launched a new auxiliary power unit (APU) for Class 8 trucks in North America. The ComfortPro “Stand Alone” diesel APU is available through the Carrier Transicold dealer network.
“With the addition of this new complementary APU product, Impco offers our customers a complete product range of idle reduction solutions for providing comfort and value to fleets and independent operators in North America,” said Richard Nielsen, executive vice president.
The Stand Alone does not need to be hooked into the truck’s diesel engine coolant system, yet still provides all the standard features and benefits of the ComfortPro PC 6012 unit, Impco said. It is fitted with a “rigorous duty generator and industrial grade belt systems.”
