• Parker Hannifin integrates CNG control, filter

    May 7, 2014
LONG BEACH, CA.  A advanced compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle gas regulator system from  Parker Hannifin Corp. integrates a flow control regulator and filtration system in a single package.  Introduced by Parker's Veriflow Division at the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, the new gas regulator is designed for medium- and heavy-duty truck applications with 6- to 15-liter engines.
Offered with either a machined or cast body, the new gas regulator puts a filter, inlet solenoid valve and heat exchanger in a single package. It provides the highest flow rates and lowest low-pressure operating parameters available, according to Parker.
Other features include a heated exchanger tapping heated radiator fluid to condition gas before it enters the engine, a dampered piston to reduce flow-induced vibration, and reduced pressure drop at high flow, all housed in a compact package, according to the company.
The Veriflow Division also announced a CNG fast-fill fuel dispenser for fleet fueling locations.  The new Industrial Bulk CNG Fuel dispenser is designed to handle a wide range of commercial trucks and buses, according to Parker. Features include a breakaway CNG hose and nozzle meeting ANSI standards, electronic display, advanced diagnostics, and leak-free tubes and fitting joints.
