The province of Alberta’s Trucks of Tomorrow program will award rebates of up to $30,000 to fleets or owner-operators ready to add auxiliary power units (APUs), cab heaters or coolers, certain skirts or fairings, or hybrid trucks to their operations. The program is a provincial initiative designed to help commercial trucking operations reduce fuel use, curb greenhouse gas emissions and save money.
The deadline for applications is December 31, 2011. Up to $2 million Canadian Dollars in total funds are currently available.
