LOUISVILLE, KY. With a deeper tread than the model it replaces and advanced construction features, the DL07 represents the first model in Hankook Tire’s next generation of heavy-truck tires.

A linehaul drive tire with aggressive block tread pattern, the DL07 has a tread depth of 31/32nds for long original wear, as well as an advanced carcasses design for improving even wear, reducing heat buildup and maximizing mileage to removal, according to Brian Sheehey, director of commercial tires.

Other design features include a high-grip notch shoulder design to prevent irregular heal-and-toe wear, and wider, flat shoulder ribs to improve tread life. The new tire also moves Hankook to industry standardized carcass dimensions to improve retreadability and decrease overall ownership costs, Sheehey said.

The DL07 tire is currently available in 285/75R24.5 size, with 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 295/75R22.5 sizes coming in the third quarter, according to Hankook.
