Intermec Inc. has announced it has been recognized by Cisco Systems Inc. as its U.S. Solutions Technology Integrator (STI) Partner of the Year for 2005. This marks the second consecutive year Intermec was given that honor.
Intermec received the award for its performance in wireless technology. Among the two companies’ collaborations, they recently introduced the “Forklift of the Future”, which pairs Intermec's RFID technology and mobile computing with the Cisco Unified Wireless Network and the Cisco Wireless Location Appliance to create the concept of a forklift as a mobile data collection communications hub.
