Tippmann Affiliated Group recognizes Rod Waiters, a warehouse supervisor at the company’s Columbus II cold storage facility.

Tippmann Affiliated Group, headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind., recently selected Rod Waiters as its Employee of the Quarter.

Waiters, warehouse supervisor for the group’s growing Interstate Cold Storage (ICS) Columbus II facility, was selected for his contributions to the company’s success, said Vince Tippmann, Jr., ICS president. Waiters has spent 16 years with ICS. His responsibilities include overseeing daily activities of all warehouse workers at the Columbus II location.

“Our employees are our greatest asset, and we are proud to honor Rod Waiters this quarter for his efforts as a warehouse supervisor,” Tippmann said. “Not only a great colleague, mentor and friend, Rod epitomizes the best of Interstate Cold Storage. Rod has made a major impact on our business during the pandemic and on-going labor shortages. He leads by example and is an invaluable member of the Tippmann Affiliated Group family.”

Waiters started his ICS career in 2006 as a forklift operator at the company’s Columbus I location. “Being here this long, I have seen many innovations and improvements throughout the years,” said Waters, who now oversees a team at the largest of five ICS facilities—with more than 7.3 cubic feet of cold storage space.
