Interstate Cold Storage (ICS), a provider of cold storage warehousing, recently invested in six state-of-the-art lift trucks aimed at streamlining processes at its Columbus II facility.
The company also reported buying two lift trucks earlier this year at its Columbus I facility.
“Everyone at the Columbus II facility and across Interstate Cold Storage is excited for the investment of six new forklifts,” Don Chambers, ICS director of operations, stated in a news release. “These new forklifts will help keep operations moving and shipments on schedule. These will also be crucial to truck drivers coming through the warehouse, and we’re eager to see them in action.”
Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, ICS operates five facilities across Ohio and Indiana, including Columbus, Napoleon, and where its company is headquartered. For more than 50 years, ICS has offered a range of cold storage warehousing solutions, including temporary freezing, quick-freezing, and space guaranteed programs. The business also offers rail access.
Interstate Cold Storage is currently recognized among the top 20 North American refrigerated warehousing companies by the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses.
