Savi Technology Inc, a provider of supply chain and logistics services, has introduced SmartSeal, a system for securing and monitoring all major types of freight transportation containers, including air cargo containers, intermodal ocean-going containers, truck trailers and railcars.

SmartSeal is a hardware and software module that has been added to Savi’s Asset Management System software. This system automatically tracks, manages and secures the assets, conveyances, and other equipment that are critical to freight transportation.

Savi, based in Sunnyvale, CA, said SmartSeal adds command and control features to provide integrated real-time alerts and enable automated response to unauthorized tampering of secured assets.
