Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants has announced that it recently received ISO 9001 certification, following a comprehensive, four-day inspection of the company’s quality management system by an independent certification body.

The ISO certification assessment consisted of analysis of the customer service, manufacturing and distribution processes and analysis of the operations of the used engine oil laboratory through extensive employee interviews.

Castrol HDL said it pursued ISO certification because independent research has shown that implementing a quality management system and achieving ISO 9001 certification can result in significant, measurable benefits, including improved levels of customer service, improved planning and control, and increased productivity and market share.
