Three cold ones

Thermo King released several new refrigeration units at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The SB-190 trailer unit, which replaces the SB-III SR+ and Whisper Edition models, features an MP-VI Smart Reefer controller with OptiSet temperature-management system. Other standard features include 12,000-hour long-life coolant, environmentally friendly R-404A refrigerant and three-year warranty.

The CD-II MAX is a newly designed reefer unit for small- to medium-sized trucks. It features the new TK-208R reciprocating refrigeration compressor, engineered for long life in applications using R-404A refrigerant.

Thermo King said its new UTS under-mount single-temperature reefer unit is the highest-capacity unit available today for large straight trucks. Thanks to its innovative scroll compressor, according to the manufacturer, the UTS offers the fastest temperature pull-down and recovery available.
