Nistevo Corp. has announced that International Paper has signed a two-year subscription contract to the Nistevo Network for centralized contract management and distributed transportation execution for an estimated 450,000 annual truckload shipments.

The system enables International Paper to centrally define, negotiate and manage their transportation contracts with more than 250 carriers. Managed online, the contracts will be used by their distributed locations, including mills, plants and distribution sites, to ensure on-contract purchasing and compliance. In addition, by tracking and tendering shipments through an online, automated process, International Paper will replace many of the organization’s manual processes in logistics.

“Using the network enables us to streamline our intra-company logistics for the first time," said Bill Crawford, vp of logistics at International Paper. "After deploying just a handful of locations, we saw immediate benefit and elected to expand our subscription across our organization.”

Crawford said International Paper is exploring additional savings opportunities with Nistevo.
