VSI's Seal Safe hasp and seal protector is said to protect trailer seals from damage and tampering and fits both cable and bolt seals. The product was designed after De Pere, WI-based carrier WEL Companies came to VSI with a problem. They were looking for a solution after several of their loads were rejected because of a broken seal.

“The unique Seal Safe design will not only protect the seal but decrease the amount of trailer theft as a whole. This product is a necessity for all refrigerated fleets,” said Chris Tielens, WEL director of loss and prevention.

The self-contained design allows the Seal Safe to fit over existing truck storage door latches. A hardened steel and corrosion-resistant surface coating shields the seal from hacksaw and other theft attacks, the company said.
