Fleet Owner to host online fleet management forum

About.com has added a Fleet Management sub-forum to its Logistics/Supply Chain Forum at: Hosted by FLEET OWNER editors, it is designed to:

  • Enable fleets to share knowledge with one another on a 24/7 basis.
  • Encourage discussion about the hottest issues in trucking--from emerging technologies to regulations and politics, safety and finance.
  • Provide the opportunity to interact with industry experts during special chat sessions.

For starters, readers can join trucking analyst Martin Labbe, president of Martin Labbe Assoc., on the , Logistics/Supply Chain CHAT site, November 26 from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. EST to talk about the transportation outlook for the months ahead.

Registration is required in order to participate in the About forums, but there is no fee.

Wendy Leavitt joined Fleet Owner in 1998 after serving as editor-in-chief of Trucking Technology magazine for four years.

She began her career in the trucking industry at Kenworth Truck Company in Kirkland, WA where she spent 16 years—the first five years as safety and compliance manager in the engineering department and more than a decade as the company’s manager of advertising and public relations. She has also worked as a book editor, guided authors through the self-publishing process and operated her own marketing and public relations business.

Wendy has a Masters Degree in English and Art History from Western Washington University, where, as a graduate student, she also taught writing.
