Great Dane acquires two Trailmobile facitities

“We plan to initiate production of Great Dane vans in Jonesboro in the fourth quarter of this year,” said Great Dane COO Phil Pines. “Due to the current weak market conditions of the trailer industry, there are no immediate plans to open Charleston.”

The purchase of the Trailmobile plants is the second major acquisition by Great Dane in less than a year. In November, Great Dane acquired the Danville, PA and Abbeville, SC plants of Strick Trailer Corp.

“These new locations are strategically located relative to our existing plants, allowing us to better serve our diverse customer base,” commented president Kit Hammond. “We are thrilled to make these investments to promote our future business.”
